Totally out of my comfort zone today. 20kts here is so vastly different to 20kts in FNQ. Just so much more punch and power. Was on what I thought was a noice 2sec PB, got smacked by a gust and ended up cartwheeling across the front of my board. Havnt done that for a while !!
Reckon these was about 7 sailors out today, either at the Spit and at 5 Mile - regardless of the wind driven chop, it is a special place to sail and the clean water behind the spit is just smooth as. Needed the wetty today, mien gott, it was very cool on the water. Fairie Bob wouldnt have gotten out of his spa at at temp. Looks like and even bigger day is on its way tomorrow, and the sun hopefully.
