Albany, WA, AU. Found myself down in Albany looking after my old man.  He had an appointment for an hr, so went down to check on conditions.  Dial was reading 9-11E but felt stronger so went out with what I had bought.   Got planing (just) a few times at first and thought might get lucky but alas within 5 mins wind spun SE and died.  Chugged about hoping something would happen but alas did not.  Pleasant enough in the sun.   For sure needed the big board and big fin today but did not bring it.  Hopefully will beat Fingers in race to bottom today. iSonic 97, SvT 8.6, FF22 green machine.

Did recon 5 days ago to 2 big inland lakes.  Water level super low (still had water though) but good potential.  Based on those water levels Grail will be too low as well.  Only Kondinin, Ninan or at stretch Bandee in play at present.

Many of the goldfields lakes have some water and there has been some wind too. Very boggy in places and some roads still closed. Mosquitoes are having a great time. Lake Carey is blue, would make the drive to Albany look short.

Ya Ben, no shortage of wind which was definitely cranking 20+kts steady for days (helps keeps the flies away).   Almost got bogged too despite dry summer so in winter will be more interesting.   Trouble is even from 50m away the salt lakes can look blue you would swear they have sailable water.   Even from a drone looks awesome and from plane probably more appealing.    Get closer though and they are dry or have 1-2cm water.  Think the land yachts will do better out here most of the time.
