Mungo Brush, NSW, AU. Super good way to unpack from lake George. Don’t get a chance to unpack. That’s two sails now had their first bath to wash the crusty off.
It was good mobdog was there. I would have went home, no wind. He paddled his blow up board out and felt a bit so we rigged.
Luckily wind came up then. I was super powered on JP SLW 165ltr - Ezzy 8.5 - 47cm Sonntag fin
Too much power, mobdog had the same rig on his Naish inflatable and reports sail handled easily. Wind was powerful. I was struggling to sheet in on on my kit.
The inflatable was very quick to get planing. Planing at 12kts. Gets on it quicker than SLW.
He reports that riding on air over chop was good. Smoooooth.
Seems like a good adventure board, if it can handle moderate and light wind.
I think it would be good at a shallow speed spot, because they can go pop, and walk back. He had another brand older one that did pop.

I’m liking trying faster tacks.

5-8kts then 10mins consistent 8-12kts E Coal Point, NSW, AU

7.5m Turbo - 125ltre  Tabou bullit- 38cms tectonics weed demon

Tongue outTongue outTongue out Finally! In the right place at the right time to catch 10 mins of decent wind.

I'd been bushwalking in the am and was really tired but i saw 10-15kts on the webcam and tore down to Coal to .. 3kts..Undecided Oh well time to read and socialise. After 1.30hr a few puffs came through so I decided to go for another plod to try and keep sailing fitness.

Plodded up above the point just in time for some decent wind. I bounced the board onto the plane and got about 1km lovely planing run towards Carey. I probably could have gone further but wanted to catch a gust to gybe. I was a bit nrevous as i've never tried to gybe the Tabou from a plane before.,. No worries. I lost all speed but nice and tidy.

I'd done my usual thing and got carried away and gone too far downwind so I had to tack to make the point and by now the wind had died.

Still I got a couple of yeehaas and I'm still buzzing.

I was thinking of selling the Tabou but it's ideal for a consistent 8-12kts. Once it's going it keeps going..sigh.. finally scratched the itch..Cool

A surprisingly empty lake ( being the afternoon before Easter ) just Andrew , Susie and me again.

A lovely run and an Indian takeaway for tea.. What more could I want? Wink

It was kinda as forecast, just a bit stronger. Seabreeze said south 10kts late and it did come although it wasnt looking that way. Right before that was light NE was nt forecast. Newy said cranking south east.
Tricky business these days.
It's pretty nice at Mungo in SE, big / better difference from straight South.
From White Tree bay.

Keen to suss out Grahams town damn this winter. Keen to keep sailing!

Sue this blow up handles small chop, Andrew was very impressed with the floating sensation and early planing. He only got 17kts top speed but thinks more could be had replacing the plastic fin.
Maybe one of these could be your Coaly light wind foil slayer Laughing

Hate to admit it but I'm kinda thinking of trying winging for those crappy days with 300m lulls Undecided..maybe next season..So long as it doesn't cut into my windsurfing! Yell
