I am a Beaver believer!

Also reacquainted myself with an old friend - the Kinetic Centurion 52 x 257! Had not used it for couple of years but did a bit of sanding on the bottom [rocker adjustment] between Xmas and New Year and it felt sweet! Used it with 6.6 2012 KA Koncept [very sweet sail] and the KA 23 assy!

Slowey and Norts were still at it when I left!

Whoa!!! Got smashed!

If I had a tail, it would be between my legs.

I began to doubt the wisdom of rigging 7.0 at Leighton when one of my boards took off and blew across the carpark. Perservering under that mantra that bashing out on 7.0 in 25 knots+ on the ocean was not going to make me any worse at windsurfing, I gave it my best but in the end I was too weak and too scared.

On the positive side the brief moment during which I maintained 33 knots for two seconds may have been about as fast as I have managed to go on the ocean before, so that was cool.

Sailed from 4.30 until 6pm with my intrepid team mate Craig.

Manta 59, Warp 7.0, Talon 32.

Beaverrraid.

On the water at 4:30. had a couple of breaks in between then did some slalom with GC till 7:15. Stuffed now.

Was hoping the wind would boot a bit and the 6.2m would be enough in the gusts. There were some moments of joy but the wind didnt seem to be filling in as solid as it could over the bar, which was getting deeper and choppier as the afternoon progressed.

Used the mistral '12 slalom 91 with 23cm asy.

Hooked one sweet gust for a couple of seconds to get a 39.8 10sec and my peak for the day. Didnt find any more of those but there was enough to have fun!

Maybe round 2 tomorrow.

Safety bay club racing, 3 races across the bay and back with a few of the locals , hard going through chop but good training for lano, looks like the speedters had a ball back at the beaver. might give it a shot tomorrow if it blows.

Out the back at woodies with the 6.2 was a handful ado, I can imagine you would have been rather toasty on a 7.0!
