Pelican Point, WA, AU

Too rough for speed runs at Pelican Point so went exploring. Along the way I narrowly missed a solid looking piece of 4x2, got slammed by a mega gust and found the limestone "shelf" I have heard about but never experienced. The "shelf" appears to be pretty big in about 30cm of water so I was lucky not to run aground and just floated downwind until I was past it.

Up and down easterly with some very strong gusts, one 35 knot gust according to seabreeze. Went on the wave gear as I expected it to be bumpy. Nice to finally meet Andrea.

Albany, WA, AU

Arrived lunchtime and went to rig the 7.1. Rolling it out I saw it was the the 7.9 of which I didnt have the right mast for, so could only rig the 6.4. 7.1 was left at home. Underdone and the wind was gusty and 12-18 at best and quite NE so sheltered by the hill today. Chatting to Morts was more enjoyable actually. Ended up doing the naughty run thinking of the submerged possiblities and Morts accident recently. Very high tide today with not much idication of the weed bank. Manta 66 Vapor 6.4 CL Delta 19

Great numbers Antman and the other mates! Nasty gusts and up and downs not easy to handle.

Happy to meet Kenny! My first time at point walter.

Nice speeds Antman, jealous I couldn't join you today!!

Scott if the 'shelf' you're referring to is the reef just south of Jojo's then I am well acquainted with it...I destroyed a near new carbon fin hitting it a few years back Yell

Point Walter East - Good size chop mid-river   ENE 20-30 knots

Congrats Antman. Nice river speeds. There were a couple of guys doing speed runs along the walter spit. Had a quick look down there afterwards and looked very flat but inundated with kites.

Good speeds considering the wind Mark. Glad you didnt hit any submerged objects.
