A quick session after work at Invy. The tide still had a bit to go out before the bank would be sailable ,so i headed out to to the main channel for some smash and crash sessions on Drifts Ca 63 as mine is still awaiting its rebuild. Got lots of smash and crash stuff with the wind in the mid to high 30s and the chop everywhere. The new 5.8 felt nice and light and will be my new favorite sail for the Pit on those 30 to 40kt days carn,t wait.  Couldn,t make any down wind runs, just too much wind and the banks were starting to get shallow making it ideal for smashing a fin into a bank, so off to the sw bank for some runs on the 40. Really short runs on this bank with a bit of "Shut ya eyes" and it wont hurt stuff over the sand banks untill i marked an edge to work from. Some good runs but too short to get a great speed and called it a day before i hit something. Should have made a run to the Pit ,but it would have made it a very late night drive home.

Ca 63 Freeride,Koncept 5.8,venom 30 for everything except

Ca40,Koncept 5.8,Ka/Loc 21 for speeds

Late afternoon session. Classic PiT speed session. 35 knots WSW. Sail: 4.4m KA Koncept. Board: CA40 speed. Fin: first try of C3 19cm Slingshot. Fin felt solid and safe in the conditions. Nice upwind, as a sym fin should be. Lots of weed but the fin seemed to shed it well.
