We thought this would be epic conditions but it stayed too West. Course was too broad with this much wind. Gusting 30-35 knts but felt like there was nothing when on the course, even with my 5.4m.

Lots of fun though with Brad and Kato. Good to see Keef!

I saw Keef flying down the track and next second his board lept into the air and he hit the water. I thought he had broken a fin. When I cought up with him a few runs later he said he didn't know how shallow it was so he bailed out!. I recon it was 15 feet deep where he was!!

It was a very gusty, unstable wind which is a bit unusual. Very difficult conditions for Sandy Point. We needed the promised forecase 15 degrees further south. As I am writing this 2 hours later it is still showing Westerly 30-35 knots at Yanakie so it still has not swung.

First run gave hope of a new PB...but it was the best of the day. Just got harder after that, especially with a batten broken by an ungraceful dismount after a spin out and trip at the end of the course. Thanks Andrew for the repairs...hopefully not too long a wait to try out the mods.

Great to catch up with a few of you  pit crew legends , daffy, kato, and Brad ,you guys were absolutely honking in worst conditions I have ever sailed😟 with the wind gusting  45deg  in either direction , daffy the dismount Was a primbee survival , first and only speed run with the boom too high and short harness lines wasn't comfortable so bailed out and spent the rest of the session getting back to the rigging area,  great to catch up , ill be better prepared next time😉
