Kurrimine Beach, QLD, AU      Fairly windy when rigging so I opted  for  old Gaastra 5.0m and 105l Screamer.    Very patchy when I got on water with a lot of stop and go.    Good to get on water with Herby, Rossco, Jeffro and KiterBob and Mal on kites.

Kurrimine Beach, QLD, AU      Decided to use our Gun 6.0 Tempo, which has been gathering dust for a while.    Very pleased with it as it went well with Lyn's 116l Screamer.    Wind light and flukey to start with but improved towards  the end.    LTD....Living The Dream!!

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU 104 Screamer - 6.2 Sailworks Revo

Finally some wind worth while speaking of. The best stuff as usual was out the back, some 500-800m. Got to the beach about 9:45am and could see the wind line beckoning. Rigged up, and set off. About half way out , she really kicked in and I had a bloody good session for about 2 hrs. Starting to feel my fitness improving too. Then just as the muscles really started to hurt, the whole lot dropped away to nothing for about an hour. Just managed one last water start and stayed on to make it in to the beach.

Good to catch up with Hoppy, Firie, Freddy and the Captn (who looked like he's just jumped out of a freezer - couldnt pick his nose to save himself, too busy shivering). Dont blame him either, the wind had a real chill in it. I reckon Firie would have been suffering too.

All up, a great day's sailing to be had up here in FNQ. Take care all.

Kurrimine Beach. NAish 120FW, Ezzy 7.0, MFC 34

Very pleasant day, blue clear sky, blue clear water and some good freinds on the water.

Wind looked promising but dropped as we rigged. Waddled for quite a while then it picked up and I was really hanging on to the 7.0 without much control.

Good to meet Jeffro

Yorkeys Qld!!

Very exciting sail at the Knob, nice 20nkts but no flat water as the wind had too much south making the Nm and peak speeds challangeing!

Had plenty of unexpected and unwanted airtime but with the 107 it was very controlable and it only through me off twice.

Used my 6.7 Overdrive which felt soooo nice when really powered up and Isonic 2012 107 Carbon and C3 Sting2 34. (still havnt got around to replacing my 39)Cool

Ka72, Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

I heard on the grape vine Kel has smacked me hard, well done mate Smile (Edit, had tucker and see the Red Devil do do well, nice mate as I found it all so rough today)

No wind inshore so wobbled and wobbled out to sea, I could see Kelly way out heading up to the Barron as pre aranged, wham the wind switch turned on so off I went never seeing the Red Flyer again. Got to the Barron River very rough trip and the bloody wind switched off again, fell in so floated floated and floated around remembering my son saying don't go to the barron and if you do don't fall in as there are big lizzards there Surprised Anyway got going, headed downwind when I got to the wind line hoping for a nice Nm as the wind was cranking then, bloody wuss got too scared and couldn't do it, too rough for this black duck Embarassed

Had a talk to Hoppy and Freddo but when I got my gear up everyone was gone, fridge full of Coopers but had to have one on my own, red of course. I have to say it was very very cold for here and the reason I gave it away.

CA SL58, 6.8 Switchblade, 34 Venon, Boardies but no nutbag, too cold Wink

Port Douglas gossip... Took the new Falcon out for a shake down to see what it could do.went in the morning at 10 oclock wind was 13,14 kts rigged 6.6m sail didn't want to rig big on a board i had never sailed..didn't get GPS as i thought i would spend the whole session tuning board.but it was not the case, jumped on and was cranking in no time..was very surprised on how quick it got going..moved mast back a bit after a few runs and that was it..blasted flat out untill 2 oclock..board was smooth and easy to sail and would gybe very fast if you new what you where doing...wind picked up and was pushing about 20kts out wide.board was very happy but 40cm fin was holding it back a bit  in the speed department..A couple of locals and a few tourist where also out sailing  enjoying some great sailing conditions.. over all a great seasion and happy with new toy..'.101 fanatic falcon 6.6m north sail 40cm nitro fin'.....Cheers Ed..

Good to see your liking the new gear Ed!

I was starting to go for a Nm on that run Bob, only got to a 25sec count and had allready bounced out of the harness twice and nearly out of the straps so gave it away before i ended up breaking something! The cold must be making me soft! Bloody winter! Hate it when the water and air temp is below 26Tongue out

Great FNQ team turn out guys.  Congrats on the PB's Billy and bragging rights for the day Cam.  Kurrimine crew had a good session too.

Noice numbers Kel especially your hr.

Bob, You're a game man sailing near the river mouth in iffy wind but then again you guys are pretty crazy up there Wink.  Kel didn't get anywhere near the mouth either - maybe he is wanting a new red CA and Switchblade.

Nothing here but some light WSW winds.
