Lake George, SA, AU

Quick day trip to sail Lake George with Sam, Carl + Jimbob.

iSonic 107, Severne NCXpro 6.5m, C3 Sting 38 - shweet combo.

Also used, 4.7 Gator + 5.7 Gator on Futura 101.

Nice and flat in the middle of the lake, but the forecast 20-30 SW did not happen. Maybe 20-22 in the gusts.

Long day - left at 4.30am, there by 9am, wind came in a 12pm, sailed till 6pm, packed up by 7.30pm, get take-away in beachport and on the road by 8.30pm, then discover can't get diesel in Beachport, Robe or Kingston (they're all closed ...argh), not enough left in tank to get to Tailem Bend, so back track to Bordertown to fill up, then eventually home by 2.30am after a couple of power naps. 900km for the day.

Bit knackered today, but would do it again tomorrow!

F2 Stoke 117, , 5.8 KA Koncept,  30 select then 36 JP weedie

Smile had Carl, Sam and Chris D to sail with. was a pretty average sail after some good days lately.

Had to work so didn't get out on the water until nearly 4.30 and missed the best of it, Surprised at least I have a job for another couple months then I might be full time sailing,

was way under done on the 5.8 but got one gust as a dark cloud came by. was flat out but the water is starting to go down now. was quite surprised the other guys sailed ok without weedie fins,

looks like this cylone crap affecting our seabreezes is finished and islooking good for tueday and wednesday arvo,

Laughing next weekend looks like it is going to be cranking next weekend but Cry I have my nephews wedding and arvo shift as well.

Great weekend at lake george with Sam.  Also great to catch up with Chris D and Jimbob on Saturday.  Forecast 20 - 30 knots and it was mainly 13 - 18 with a couple of 20 knots gusts.  Managed to get onto one of them.

Ended up rigging 3 rigs - 5.1, 5.8 and 6.6.  Also tried the newly acquired 70 litre slalom jp - nice board.
The water was flat due to the weed beds.  Nice to gybe and sail in flat water for a change.

The forecast for Sunday was 20 - 25 knots and the perfect direction - se to run the flat water but the wind wasn't strong enough:-(  Still great weekend.

Lake george 10 - 20 knots.

Fanatic falcon 102 / 2011 ka koncept 6.6 / 33cm sl7.

Jp slalom 54 - 70 litre / 5.1m tr-4 / 27cm sl7 - 1 run 1/2 powered.

Fanatic falcon 102 / 2011 ka koncept 5.8 / 33cm sl7.

Its on the southern speeed run about 40m from the bank. I analysed my tracks, identified the location and have saved it as a waypoint. So should be able to find it and either remove it - doubtful or mark it so we can keep clear.

Surprised sorry to hear about the run around you had Chris, you can get 24 hour fuel here in Millicent, why didn't you just call the RAA as they always carry some spare juice, better bt a jerry can for next trip.

Surprised sorry to hear about the board Norm.

Smile will be out tommorrow after work and also on my day of wednesday the SE seabreezes look sweeet for a few more speed runs.

Tongue out the weekend looks even better but I have arvo shift and my nephews wedding so will have to have a miss.
