Coal Point, NSW, AU Great sail today, 114 falcon, 7 Simmer SCR. Pretty powered up today 20-25 knots NE. A bit of fine tuning with Hugh on the SCR, feels better, board not as bad tail dancing, thanks Hugh.

10-19kts ENE Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.233

I thought I'd find Budgy easy after the chop but the short runs are tiring..The wind was in the flats but buggerall NW of the pole until late in the day. Pretty shallow with lots of  weed showing on the top. You could get through it if you were powered up but it must add drag. I tried to keep to the channels.

I was going to try for an hr or alpha but the short runs turned me off the idea and I wasn't much good at picking a clear spot to gybe where there was still had wind for the exit.Undecided

I'd forgotten that feeling of accelerating in the flats- great fun!

Saw some big stingy spotted pink jellies in the flats.. the lake needs a decent flushout with some rain.It was pretty murky and at times you couldn't see them which could have been interesting. Lots of big things taking off as I walked out. Not sure if they were fish or stingrays?

I'm going for a lot more bearaways since I got the watch.Previously I'd only get a few a session and  I was normally on the opposite tack to everyone else. Today I was more in line with other people. Had a few close calls so I'll have to try and keep separate / be more careful. Sorry everyone.

Plenty out- Mick , Norm , Pete, Mick, Wayne, Larko, Andrew, Bruce, Paul , Pugs + more

Sue, after what culdve been a very close call today, you have to stick to your line. I saw you going for a bearaway so changed course to go upwind and let you go off downwind. Then you changed direction and started going upwind. As I was already going upwind I thought you would realise and stay on your line. But no, you kept pushing it upwind. I had to virtually stop so a collision was avoided. A 40 knot closure is not something anyone wants.

Please be more aware. That couldve been dangerous.

Ok. I saw you change course but didn't realise it was to let me bearaway .. I think I changed course again to avoid the heavy weed and then when you changed course I was worried if I kept changing course we'd collide which is why I  held mine,.I'll keep that in mind next time and try and be more predictable.

Sorry if I caused trouble Larko. Back in the 80's I had an incident with an oncoming board- he changed course, I changed course, he changed course, I changed course and we eventually collided.
