Bubs (476km):
5827 days ago well i think we must have found the only wind in SA by the sounds!!! dad and i had a look at the goolwa speed strip but was dead calm so headed around to the murray mouth for a sail... wasn't heaps of wind but enough to get going well, probably 5 to 12 knots or so maybe, at best. so i took out the 7.0m Gaastra GTX with the Naish Supercross 114L to have a bit of a feel, see what things were like as we really didn't know what to rig lol. ended up handing that over to dad and rigging my 6.8m Bic Techno speedster sail on my Starboard S-type 93L. great set up for conditions and was planning consistently.
dad struggled a bit more on the other gear but i'm trying to get him used to the "smaller" board which his picking up pretty well rather than that massive 158L JP freeride of his. unfortunatley he packed up pretty early and neither me or him are really 100% at the moment (got a cold going through the family) so didn't get a go on the GPS. But don't worry i bought him a new GT-11 for christmas which i was going to give him an early present however didn't have an aqua pack he could use. shhh, looking forward to giving that to him and always posting full sessions as a team.
Dad took some pics which i will be putting up on seabreeze in a sec so take a look, below is my GPS track for the day anwyay:
Cheers, Hamish
