CR 6.5 and Isonic 101

After the sailing the chop this week (and after the lunch time beer) I chose to stay in the nice flat pond today.... forgot how nice it can be to gybe at full speed in the flat stuff.  Enjoyable session.

That alpha has to be near my PB for the big board.

Futura 122, Lightning 6.5, 32 Weedie - Got to love the lead up to Xmas! Nice half day at work, then to the pub for a few, then a sail in some decent wind!! Should of gone with the 93 Futura, but figured the extra volume would be more forgiving of the beers!Cool Some hairy moments as the 122 got to lift off with wind under it, just as the front foot parted company with the footstrap! But thats why its fun! Laughing

Flat water really makes a difference to your speed, doesn't it.

CR 7.0; iSonic 105; Choco 34...nice combo for the conditions

Not overly windy...was again trying for good NM and 1 hr but just not consistent enough to nail something good. Very happy how close the 10 sec was to the 2 sec though. Have recorded 3 of my best NM in the last week plus 2nd quickest 1 hr today...so not too bad I guess.

Cheryl, Annika and Scotty out representing PSS.

Pleasant session all in all...

Well done cheryl, another PB. Cool

As to flat water: I normally sail on the estuary, relatively flat water and I can often get near 30 kts. Yesterday I sailed the ocean, not lumpy by most measures but I could not get above 25kts and still managed to catch a rail and bruis my ribs on my mast when I hit the water and mast. Yup, flat water is my friend!
