Down to Kurrimine for  a romp with Olga while she hangs around. Very flukey to start and rigged the 7.0 infinity on the Cross 100 and Torquay Slalom 34. Struggled in the lulls and battled lots of weed which was frustrating. A rain squall passed through and killed the wind but came in with a vengence short time later and with it the chop. Overpowered and out of control and crashes. Changed to a MAui B&J 34 and better control but wind kept increasing and body not up to it. Still great fun. A couple of K's at least.

Carve 94, NP7.7H2, SF36.

Darwin, 5-12 knots, had to pump all the way to keep on the plane for a NM.

Gave up after I realized I was spending more time swimming than sailing.Yell

Didn't look much when we got there so I sent Herby out as guinea pig and as soon as I seen him planing I went out too.

A bit of rain stinging my face but fantastic wind for dam.     James and Ian came back today and had a ball with us.

5.9 Loft 02 and Screamer 105l

Happy Birthday Australia

Good session on Tinaroo, but as usual it suddenly stopped...last 2km was dead slow...69 minutes with 6.6 Loft 02 and 120l S/Cross.

Real wet in paradise.

Happy Birthday Australia..

Wild day at yorkeys today, wind was over 30 at times and a bit off shore, had fun with the wave board and 5.2 for about 30 mins until the wind stopped on the outside jibeFrown. No problem i thought, just wait for it to come back in as it is always a bit dodgy at yorkeys,

40mins later and the wind came back, but it was dead off shore, tried to ride the waves back to the beach but i was heading for the rocks so i jibed started pointing back up the beach. Sailed for ten mins parallel to beach and jibed again only to find i was still not going to clear the rocks. So i gave in and headed towards the yacht club ready to do the walk of shame, but the wind disappeared and i started paddling.

After 1hr of paddling i had covered almost 5ks, but i was not one metre closer to the beach. Luckly bob was watching and had managed to get a jetski out to tow me back( Thanks Bob). To finnish me off for the day as i was dragging myself out of the water i managed to get dumped by the shore break twice trying to get out. Bob did very well to not laugh out loud.Embarassed

You did well Rossco in those conditions Cool and Gaz since when has 5 knots not been enough for you Wink

Awesome speeds for that dam Lyn & Herby Cool

This is Olga, the center is to the left, the wind was hammering in till she crossed the coast, then the wind stopped like a light switch till a minute later it started to blow off shore but far to light to sail with a 5.2. Not me I was blowing wind out of my yapper Wink

Kel you were actually drifting off shore, same what happened to Rowdy another time only he was drifting nearly as fast as I can sail. We couldn't see you by eye, I had to use binoculars and even then it was hard. Not long after the jetski got to you it started to drizzle with visibility ferked by then. Lucky I was thinking I might end up having to mow your lawn Wink Good to see all's well that end's well Cool

Neb's we need a division for rescues, at least we'd win that Laughing

WOW Kel, that's an extreme lesson!  I'm glad Firie was looking out for you.

I've had the wind switch off on me before, every time I'm fighting to control the panic.  You must be a pretty strong swimmer, not sure how I would have fared in your situation Surprised

Stay safe people.

Ah the memories

Looks like you were alot further out than me Kel. I had a big swell running which didn't help ppl on shore watching me.

We are just lucky to have our team captain looking out for us.

Thanks Bob.

Hey Kel and Rowdy, just as well we have a team captain that doesn't go sailing to often.

Are there any old tennis courts down your way. We could get the umpires chair and put on the beach for FirieWink

I'm not the team captain, I'm mother hen, that's 3 rescues I've had to organize in about 12 months  FrownLaughing

After watching Richard tail walking his gear I was still keen to go out, something about headcams and cyclones, just so lucky I'm a dithering old bastard Undecided

Gaz that chair sounds good, can you put it where the girlies sunback Tongue out
