5076 days ago Ramsgate. NE winds 15-20kts. Perhaps a few 25kts gusts in there as well. Good fun being out on the water sailing with most of the formula guys. I haven't been on the water for about a month and really felt it in the stronger winds. Best speed was at the top of the runway in the smooth water. I think that this is a Formula PB for me.
Good to see Rexy out there as well blasting past as I was uphauling from a dropped gybe.

Hmmmm one of those days. Rigged the Koncept 5.8, carrying it down to the water and tore one of the panels whilst balancing it on my head. No probs, a stickyback repair later and I was on the water. Wind was 10-20 knot Nor Easter so had some nice runs down the runway. Pretty inconsistent though and really should have had my 6.7 up.
Came back to the beach to check on the family and they were whingeing that they couldn't SUP cause of the wind and the chop pushing them too far downwind. Went out again for some more runs and whilst travelling at about 30 knots the side of my boom I was hanging onto decided to part company with the rest of the rig. Consequently I had a doozy of an off and came too pretty much holding on to a boom arm with my board about 10 metres away downwind. Couldn't believe how clean a break it was, right at the mast connection and then about an inch in front of the boom end. I flipped the sail over onto the opposite tack and found myself able to pop the sail, waterstart and get going again. I felt like I was a cool 80's speed sailor with an assymetric boom!!
I put my head through the harness line on the broken arm and proceeded to sail back to shore not hooked in or in my foot straps. When I hit the beach I looked at my GPS and realised I had just been doing 26 knots in that position!!
Derigged, and whilst the family went off to get an icecream I loaded the car only to have a gust blow one then 2 boards off my roof and onto the car next to me Thankfully the guy was right there and he said it was another scratch to add to the ones that were already there. Got home and found 1 small ding in my Falcon but hopefully it hasn't pierced the skin so not too bad a result afterall.
Oh and Leo, I resemble that comment!!!
Board was my Drops and fin was a Caspar GPS 27 (such a sweet fin)
