A very very long day so i didn,t post last night. Had 2 sails rigged at the Pit by 6.30am ready for the westerly wind and the high tide, but forgot to order the wind. Yell Lots and lots of rain,NW SW and every other direction except the one we wanted and every wind strength, 0 to high 40,s bullets. Very cold and at 11am it was still only 10 deg, so by 1pm i had enough and took the CA and a 5.0 for a sail and just got smashed by chop from everywhere and bullets that came straight down. Didn,t last long and sat around some more. Had another go at 5pm and got first run the strip.Play time. Back on to the 40 with the 5 and had some good number considering the swell running sideways into the course. Never seen this happen before, incomming swell with out going wind. Bailed on dark, home by 8.30. Stuffed.

Another funny / tough day at the Pit. The forecast offered plenty so made the trek down. Arrived with way too much water to get in, didn't even think that we'd get wet apart from the rain.

Three runs down the course only, the first just trying to survive, the last in the near approaching dark. The last run felt faster than this, but happy to just survive. I knew when some of the more experienced and more talented sailers were using nearly 1m2 sails I was going to be in trouble. Another day to put down to experience.

Friday session... super high tide kept us off the water - well the sane ones at least...  Finally got on the water about 5pm for a short session.
