After the lovely walk the length of the Port Eynon/Horton beach in the sun !!!! some other windsurfers had turned up and were rigging 6.3 and 5.8 so while I rigged the 6.6 Mag went to buy fudge from the RNLI to get change for the car park – it has now cost us over £8 (including the fudge) to park here :( and you can’t even see the sea !!!! With the wind cross off and gusty I took my 133 lt. zantos and after abit of a trek to the sea as it was low water I wobbled through the wave and had to sail way out past the point to get any decent wind. Out there was a big swell but it didn’t want to sail too far out as I only had the middle of the beach to aim for with rocks both sides. The consisted of sailing out way underpowered in the gusty winds, gybe on the big swell and use the waves to plan most of the way back, after an hour or so I had had enough so packed up , had a quick late lunch and went to met Mag on the Welsh Coastal path :) I,m afraid the walk beat the windsurfing but at least I made it out once after all the wind I have missed over the last few days !!!!
