Replay of last Sunday. Forecast WRONG AGAIN!  Wind out at Sea, not getting inland.

I-Sonic 121, 7.5m VMG, 36 JP Weed.

WOOHOO!!!

Watched the obs all day.  Didn't look like the forecast was going to come true so nearly didn't go.  Came in late so I hit the road, but not before I broke the cardinal rule 'leave no man behind' and took the 80L board out of the car saying 'I won't be needing this!'.  Big mistake.  Completely overpowered, but I think too much board more than sail.  HEAPS of spin outs.  Board too big?  Bad technique?  What would I know? Wink

Was actually an uncomfortable kinda frustrating day, but I couldn't care less now that I've finally seen the big 3-0 Cool

101 Falcon, 8.0GTX, 37cm BP fin.  The wind didn't fill in as expected but still good to be out on the water.  Heaps of people out today too.

Booti Booti Point, NSW, AU. A rather huffy puffy NE wind today that only managed about 12-14k.I really needed the 7.9 today but my sore back was saying rig more comfortable so I took the 6.5 GTX and SL104 with select viper slam37 fin.Had a few nice runs but mostly underpowered.Good crowd on water today. There wasn't much room at the Point today owing to a good NE wind forecast that was short of the promise by a considerable margin, like about 10 to 15 knots!Sucked in again!

Water was warm however and thanks again Pete for those beers!!

Salty Nic, Awesome 2 sec. peak PB and great 5X 10 sec PB!! Congrats on that milestone.Well Done!!Obviously a nice NE breeze up there!!We're jealous.

The photo doesn't show at least another two cars at the point, but it was busy on and off water despite the ordinary wind.

WOOOO HOOOOO

Congrats Salty One!!!!!!!! You have been pushing for this one for a while. What makes this so special is that your 2sec peak was in the choppy shit in the channel which would have made it harder - well done

Thank you very much. Hehe... it's amazing how quickly any sense of accomplishment fades and is replaced by an overwhelming desire to go FASTER!! :-) Chris' knee will let her back on the water soon and then we'll see some serious speeds for NSW women over the Summer! :-)

Fabulous work Nicole - beat me to the post!!!! Now I really have something to chase. My Knee is 90% better so hope to be back on water next week. So great to see you get such a brilliant speed and not even on the small board. You should know the rules - take ALL your gear even if you don't think you will need it!

Many congrats Nicole.30kts is a great effort. I hear you with the feeling moving from being totally stoked to needing to go faster. Very addictive. Hope to see you down south over summer or maybe at the rocks.

Thanks so much for all the kind encouragement. My non-windsurfing family and friends would wonder what I was talking about if I mentioned 30 knots. So awesome to be able to share it with you guys. Now to hit 35 ;-) Hope to see you all on the water over the Summer! (Long drive for Jerry!) And hope Greg and Chris are back in action any day! :-)
