Damo (7074km): Melville Beach, WA, AU F2 102 ltr Silberpfeil,6.7 O.D,36cm F1 Quick session due to it being my wife's birthday and dinner commitments, was great in the gusts but plenty of holes. Good to see Fudge and Borgy firing ,had a quick chat with Col before he had to go to work and nice to meet Stroppo who was enjoying the best that Lucky Bay had to offer
CJ (1066km): Frustrating sail. Results are OK but just too many holes to get going consistently. It just came in as I had to leave. Still, any sail is a good sail 6.4 vapour, 84 JP slalom. Lockwood 32 Melville Beach, WA, AU
Borgy (16631km): Futura 101, 7.0m Lightning, 38cm Drake Venom Difficult and uncomfortable conditions. Mast met shin during a sh*t gybe and so gybing practice until the shin started swelling. Good to see the PB's continue - well done Damo, Matt and Fudge!
Fudge (3122km): Set out for HR and Distance PB's on the 7.9 and 98 manta with the lockwood 38. Was getting smashed trying to fight my way up wind trying for some NM's , after still not finding the grove up hill i plugged in my bigger 74wide manta and same fin, couldnt be any worse i thought to myself. Jumped on and plesantly surprised. It Was alot easier to control the bigger sail, easier to sail upwind , and top speeds all came from the bigger board .Thought i had my distance PB in the bag but only just scrapped it in lucky i went for the last couple of runs on the bigger board. Massive learning curve for me today about board/fin sail combo'. Might have to run the big girl down the beaver next time ,see how she goes. MANTA 98 and 113, VAPOR 7.9, LOCKWOOD 38.
