Day #4 at Karpathos, the numbers in the Odessey of Speed are finally getting somewhere..

Today was good in DevilsBay. I started sailing from the Club Mistral Main Station towards DevilsBay. It was real choppy out there and for a minute I doubted that I did not use the right fin. I wanted to test te my new BlackProject RS36 but the 113 and 7.0 are not a \"normal\" combi, especially in chop. It felt a bit slippery upwind but with a little adjustment in the amount presure on the backfoot it all started to feel more confy.

In 2 steps I managed to get to the beginning of the strip and started to make my first downwind run. The fin performed awesome, I did not expect it to be so safe, I love it ! The first 2 runs I was exploring were to go down best and then I got hit by a perfect gust. 69.3 on display with 10sec of 65.. this is gonna be a real good day, I thought !!

I did another set of runs and the speeds were pretty good, and then suddenly a nightmare hit me.. My GT31 GPS was dead.. I had it charging all night and I really have no idea what is wrong with it. I guess the battery is dead because when on powerline it turns on. But the buttons are not 100% responding. I just opened the unit and there is  no water inside. So I am gonna change the battery later to see what happens.

Next mission is to find another GPS otherwise my Odessey ends here..
