Melville, WA, AU, - HWR R4 10.7 VMG 76 - Short sail around the river with the yatchs. Actually quite windy there at times.

Melville, Various

Just couldn't get it right today. 3 Rig changes and 2 boards, numerous fins.

Enjoyable beer and catch up with a few of the crew.

7M T4 with 101 Firestorm with 40cm MFC

Was a bit of a problem without a weedie so changed to 94lt crossCool

Then got a little overpowered so rigged down to 6.5M T4 - should have really rigged the 6m.

All good fun even if a little scary at timesEmbarassed

RRD Firestorm 120L with 7.5M T-bird & 44 MFC

Rigged badly & was having all sorts of problems.

Added anothe inch of downhaul & all sweetLaughing

By then Col had taken the 120 so I jumped on the 101 Firestorm with a 40 MFC.

Eventually got overpowered & scared of the weed so plugged in the 32 cm LE weedy.

Got further overpowered so grabbed the Exocet Cross 94L & grabbed the 7.0M T-bird that Annie had discarded.

Fastest speed was on the Exocet, probably a PB for that combo Cool

Nice to be powered up on the river Laughing

Futura 93, Lightning 7.8, 32 Vector SW, Lightning 7.0, 27 Vector DWS - Hmmm, mental note don't put the 7.8 on the 93 again Yell... I gave it a good go and after tweaking boom height and mast base position it felt half resonable, but by that stage it was getting a little windy! Came in and changed down to the 7, but even as I did that I knew the 6m was a better an option. But given my knack for good choices today I went back out on the 7 to be nicely over powered! Got my fastest run on this setup but it was with the sail sheeted out a tad!Laughing Spent the rest of the sail practising my do not crash runs!Laughing Was determined to keep going until I had fun but in the end I gave up... just on the wrong gear all day! Oh well, Borgy handing me a beer at the end made it a little better! Thanks Borgy!Cool

7.8 R4; X-F V5 105; Volt 38 @ Melville

Slipped in a quick session on a very busy day...good to get out but the breeze was horrible...all over the place. Seemed to fill in just when I had to leave...plenty of the team out.
