After a week fizzled forecasts, prior commitments and generally shitty timing, I packed the car with a cynical mind - Im probably wasting my time, just chuck in the big gear. Well sure enough, it came in 20+ knts and I ended up a bit overdone on the 7.6. My cunning ploy worked, the wind gods can be tricked!!!!! ha ha haaaa! Had an enjoyable sail, then was sent back out by a young dinghy sailor's mum who had capsized his vessel out the back and stuck his mast in the mud. Lucky I went back out, he was pretty exhausted when I got to him -all good in the end, butI think he was going to cop a fair mouthful from Mum!
