Glenno (6595km): Melville Beach, WA, AU 6.0 O/D, 76 iSonic, 28 Choco S/Weed, Nice to be on the water with so manny enjoying the conditions.
Scott (5272km): Futura 93, T4 6.0 & 27 Vector DWS - Some nice conditions and nice and flat over the bar early on before the tide came in. Hmmm maybe a 2 sec PB and 30 knot 5x10 is still in range, even now being a light weight! Good to see everyone out, especially on a Friday. It even got a bit crowded in the shallows!
Annie (13417km): 6M T4 & 94 Lt Cross with FWW Also tried RRD Fire (thanks 2nd wind) 6.5 which was not bad but I much prefer the Tushingham T4's. Had a great sail even with all the traffic - tomorrow - Bring it On!!
Nelson d Foiler (31390km): RRD Firestorm 101L with 7.0M Firewing & 40 MFC Changed to the 6.5M RRD Fire for a while & then to the 6.5M T-bird & 32 LE Weedy. Then changed to the Exocet Cross with the 6.5M T-bird & 32 LE Weedy. Had a quick go on Col's 93L Patrik & 6.2M Reflex, nice board The RRD Firewing rigged too flat on a skinny mast as it is supposed to be on an SDM, the cams needed packing out but still performed well & was never over powered when most others were on 6.0 or 6.5 metre sails. The 6.5M Fire was on a 450 skinny instead of the correct 430 but also performed well after some fine tuning. Thanks to Second Wind for the demo sails Best alphas on the RRD, best speeds on the Exocet, go figure the RRD is a gybe machine No real speed today but also no down winders but real comfortable sailing in very gusty conditions
Jay (15150km): Melville Beach, WA, AU. Code Red 7.0, Isonic 105, Canefire 34- not enough water in the bay for speed runs ;( |
