finished by meeting a couple of wave dudes and warilla and they gave us beer - 70km ocean downwinder finished by beer!!! beer!!

Tuggerah Bay, Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU   quick sail off berkley trying out a new (for me) board. Very easy board to sail fast in chop, got  over 30kts out in the middle of the lake. the chop around the berkley headland is hectic, dont think i'll go there again in a northeaster.

Gusty 15-25kts NE.

6.2 RSR, 56 wide custom slalom (Chester), 62 wide custom slalom (Lenny), 20cm weed fin.

Never sailed in the river in a NE, a lot of floating weed, choppy where the wind was strongest, very light behind the sandbar where the water was flat. A good day to practice sailing in chop with a small weed fin.

Day 2 of the Formula event at lake Macquarie. Some exciting, high wind formula followed by some blasting on the flat water near swansea. Thanks to the organisers of the event, and cheers Murray for showing me to the speed spot.
