Damo (7074km): Majestic Point, WA, AU F2 SX 111ltr,7.8 OD5,38 Choco BP Got down there early to be joined by Shane,we were surprised to have the place to ourselves. I was overpowered most of the time as it was alot stronger than I had expected so I didn't push it as hard as I could have, the chop was horrendous but Shane was eating it up from what I saw. Went over to Peli and caught up with Ricey,Troutty and Luke after getting spanked on the first run (serves me right for not taking smaller gear) A fun unexpected sail in testing conditions | ||||||||||||||||||
Annie (13480km): 6.5M T4 94 lt Cross & FWW Struggled out of bed early to head off down to Mandurah for some flat Easterley sailing Forgot the freeway was closed - oops Was a little underpowered for most of the time - but very enjoyable The only wildlife I spotted was a dolphin - no crabs or peacocks to be seen

Nelson d Foiler (31390km): RRD Firestorm 138L with 8.5M Lightning & 46 MFC Never really powered up on this gear, changed a lot of settings & got the most out of it but it just didn't feel alive Had a break & decided to rig the 7.5 T-bird & 120L Firestorm with a 40 MFC This combo is amazing, no faster but planed as early & felt lively, pity the wind dropped out 2 best NM were on my first run on the 120, out & back 2 windsurfers, 2 kites & 1 black fin, black dolphin I believe Very relaxing & quiet sail, reminds me of Cocos when there's no-one around |
