iS90, 7.0RBlade, 33 CL Sl2 - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU NE 18 - 23kn

Rigged in anticipation that the seabreeze would increase but it tapered off slightly making for mostly underpowered runs.  Broke my uni tendon on my second run over to the harbour but the safety rope (formuline) held strong and I sailed it all the way back and replaced.  Water was super choppy on the high tide and I ended up calling it quits early as it was just not enjoyable.  Saw some big fish swanning on the surface over near the harbour too.

Well another impromptude afternoon session brown water blasting :-) There was heaps of people out when I arrive a bit after 15:00hrs. So many that I thought I was flashing back to the 90's. As it turned out all the other crew had only just got out as the Northerly was a fickle tease up until then. The forecast was for a 20kt plus wind but that forecast did not eventuate :-( Either way it was good to see so many sails on the water and as we all know any day planning powered up is a good day.

Usual gear:

  • Sail- Ezzy Lion 6.5
  • Board- JP 100l Super Sport
  • Fin- Select 33

I might be getting tired of people going past me with bigger sails.... I might be looking at going up to a 7.5. Might even be looking at a slalom board this Monday whilst at Burrum ;-) Thats the roumor any way.....

Snags, Big fish and busted tendon, just wasn't adding up to good day regardless of the chop!

Pretty close with those numbers boys, well done both of you. Not even the slightest inclination of a breeze up here Frown.
