dr cam (42450km):  6 categories       Marine Parade, Southport, QLD, AU Back at Southport after 33 yrs (had my 1st ever sail here ...) Great day with Vando /Phil Nott & a bunch of locals who were most welcoming !! Crazy Place to sail -super gusty ,fickle swinging wind ,sandbars all over the shop ,jet skis,jet boats ,Kiters ,Sups ,game boats ,police boats -reminded me of an SHQ Melbourne cup weekend a few yrs ago it was that busy . Used the JP 93 2105 NP E6 7m2 & tribal sw 31 @ was mostly grovelling /swimming or waiting for wind-BUT-when its on its on !!! Phil showed us all how it was done & Vando was focussed as always .Curtis very kindly loaned me his (bigger) rig for a couple of runs -many thanks !! Overall a great day with a nice rigging area . Probably look at Wello tomorrow-sounds like it was howling there this afternoon... | ||||||||||||||||||
