After me and Carl decided that Stansbury was no good today, me and the missus went for a drive to Port Hughes. The gear was on the trailer so i took it with me. Simon and Jay were sailing when i got to Pt Hughes and after a chat with the guys i told them i'm not sailing in that crap. 50 meters of sorta flat then the savage sea, no thank you! Was good to catch up for a chat though. Heather suggested we go to Voodoo land for a look on the way back, and am i glad we did. It was gusty 20-25+ and being straight North it lined up the NM attempt nicely. I could have gone in closer on the flatter water but i just dont know the bottom well enough to take the risk. Still a PB NM is great and the potential for faster ones exists. There is a steel shipwreck out there and i was sailing past it on the outside on the port tack bearaway reach and sailing inside it on the return beat. Didn't get too close to it because Richard noticed some obsticle near it one other time.
