Was just wondering what Hammo would have been like.... Seabreeze showed 25+ winds all day, peaking 40+ knots at 8pm.

Not quite as much in Mackay, and back at work regardless.

Just posting for Billy who forgot his GPS. Actually, just to fill in the details a bit more:

I spent the day ignoring my phone, floating about in the backyard pool with a cool glass, until eventually one of the kids caved and yelled out,

"Dad, its Billy The Bludger on your phone .....AGAIN! "

I answered it and within minutes my trailer, filled with all my top spec, up-to-date kit, is once again disappearing down the steet, the wrong way, behind Billy's 4WD that he bludged off his old man.

A few minutes later i get a phone call from Billy The Bludger who has locked himself in my trailer when he was sorting through all the possum shit to see if their were any coffee beans inside. At least that's what I think he said, so I floated back into the side of the pool and waited' til Jeeves brought the staff car around. Which he didn't, because in an overwhelming fit of benevolence, I had given Jeeves the arvo off.

That meant I had to drag my own weary carcass down to the foreshore to set things right. Disappointingly, by the time I got there, Billy's wife had overruled the sprogs and let Billy out the trailer.

And the last I saw of my shiny new kit. I went off to swim a few laps to stay in uber form. Billy the Bludger goes on a bender and eventually I get a call to give the me news, scratch one 'still has new car smell' carbon boom because he tied the it on back-to-front and had to swap the mast end ropes for the outhaul ropes.

But ever cheerful Billy is happy to wait until Friday for me to repair it.

I am not sure if this very dangerous operative from FNQ is the result of Snags, Fairiebob, or just a general team effort. But Respect fellas. He is deadly effective! Cool

Hey Billio, careful mate otherwise you'll get me banned from Mandurah Surprised

Word of advise, I know this is hard to understand coming from the deep north of Qld, but the waters not opposite on the otherside of Aus. So you can still face the pointy end of your board towards where you're going, this will take a lot of stress of the boom. Also I know you FNQ'ers hibernate during summer in your air con palaces so I bet you're also carrying a decient summer coat WinkLaughing
