In the wise words of Barry from Tassie Speed Seekers who was my local guide and gear supplier:

"Wild and interesting session (with Paul Bryant, of the Board Crazy team). Water close to the bank was nice and flat, but the gusts were  just turbulent chaos and full of holes. We rigged small and concentrated on enjoying the experience and avoiding injury, rather than chasing numbers. Still, treading a  fine line at times. At one stage my rig and board were ripped out of my hands, thrown high into the air landing about 15 metres away.  Great sharing a memorable session with you Paul. Stanley was turning on a furious spectacle at times, it was awesome just to witness it and escape unscathed."
