Teralba, NSW, AU. 5.6 Hucker, 110 Naish. Fun but frustrating due to the usual upand down conditions. Amazing to be sailing in boardies and a rashy in April. Stoked to have got s decent sail in.

Well....it`s been a while since l felt this useless on the water or lm just not used to this 5-25 knot wind.

Anything is better than staying on the shore but by not much!

best thing is seeing all the mates on the saturday arvo!

I have used a 6.2 on a 97 isonic...the choice was good only l couldnt manage very well!...

15- 28kts NNW - WNW Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

7m M1 - 87ltre isonic - 21.5cm FF 1st go

 then 6.2m OD- 80ltre isonic - 18cm FF MK 2

Interesting day Undecided.

2sec location , non LG and board Surprised PB + top 5 5x 10..

Spent the first 45min working up so it was deep enough to feel safe.. wind came in perfectly and then bad heart palps hit..sat for 30mins and they'd settled to 105 beats a min but as soon as I moved they took off again and my legs were trembly and I could hardly move..Had a rashie and boardies on ( 27 degrees? ) but started to shiver so figured better try and get back in..Lyd's came up to check on me - thanks!

Scary ride in overpwoered.. thought I'd get a PB but sailing so badly because I felt so bad only got 27kts..first time I've actually been worried re heart..

Got the waterproof poncho and lay in the sun and had lunch when I felt a bit better..

They seemed to have settled and I managed to derig the other board  .I managed a  PB at LG after a similar session so I went back out with the 80ltre..

Didn't notice the heart doing silly buggers but I was very tired and no energy..still it was too good to miss! Starting to get really strong and the 80ltre was doing 360's on the end of the mast when I was trying to start. Got a few 33kts + and came in for another rest..

Tempted back out for one or two runs and got all my PB"s..Probably could have been on my speedboard then but it died after I came in..

1st go with the 21cm/ cut down 24cm FF and it went great with the 7m although I wasn't fully powered in the chop..I think it will be great!

1st go of the MK11 18cm Fangy fin and it was rock solid ( the other 18 went great on one tack but sideways on the other..)..Very confident to go for it in the small chop. The last run was mega powered in the chop and I wasn't worried about it letting go.. No way I'd trust a delta etc in that!

I didn't try many gybes as too overpowered on the sth end and worried it would be too shallow at the other..

Seeing the specilaist this week so hopefully the heart will misbehave in the tests and he can find the location of the culprit trigger..Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for it to be fixed as I want to be 100% for the winter W..Smile

Gareth had a mega catapult running agorund on a bearaway and a massive heamatoma on his shin..Surprised

Exocet RF91, Mauisails Legend 5.0, Naish Foil - Wind NW 5-20 knots

Huge turnout at Teralba today, great to see everyone.  Got there after lunch and it was going to rig 6.6 and slalom board but then saw John Pearce flying on his foil so decided to get out there as well.  Turned out to be the best foil session for me ever.   Plenty of flights, a foil PB 2 sec, and not too many bad crashes.   Wind was normal westerly up and down but just happy to have power in the sail.

Well done to everyone who scored a sweet session down at Budgy.

Thanks to Tibor for taking some photos from the shore

Lyds they assure me they are harmless although you can black out..I've never come close as I manage them..today was worrying though. I'll stick to shallow water when the winds strong until after I'm fixed. Smile

Very happy with the fins Fangy.

Greg,

Congrats on your PB. With all your time away with work, it is good that when you sail, you have a good sail.

Congratulations on a 35+ at home, Sue! Now you have learnt all the tricks from a good season at LG you can save all that money and stay home next year.

Is it that palpitations help you go faster, or that strong wind gets you excited and that makes your heart flutter? You probably need to think about strong wind during the tests to bring on the arrhythmia...
