Ian Wright (16360km): Burrum Heads, QLD, AU Neil Pryde Windfest at Burrum Heads. Great fun sail at Burrum . Wind was around 15 +knots E or S/E. Futura 122, Loft 7.8 and 38 Tectonics T43. Great sailing with Great people at a very well run event. Thanks Wind Wanderers.
Tibor (18244km): Burrum Heads, QLD, AU First windy day at the windfest. Was difficult to pick the right sail from a long distance to the course and with the big wind forcast. decided to take the smaller set, 7m on a 97L isonic. my favorit combo but a bit under done at first for a while. however, when l was going it was very nice so, l just tried to enjoy myself as l did too. Very pleasant arvo at Burrum.
Bruce Healey (24403km): Burrum Heads, QLD, AU Wind at last. South, 15-20 knots, good direction on south run. Nicely powered on 7.7, CASL70 38 fin & RS3 36 fin.
rus13b (5160km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU same as yesty, just spin out city today. had that prob in southerlys there b4. no spin out yesty but couldnt bear off at all 2day.
sboardcrazy (25351km): 12-20kts SSw - S Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU 7m M1- 87ltre isonic - 21cm FF ( cutdown 24FF) then 7m - 80ltre isonic - 21FF Had a lot of waterstart practise today.. I thought about using a 16 kestrel so I could stay in the flats but it would be too small for the 7m and be spinout city..so I tried a new combo of the 21cm FF ( cutdown 24). It meant I spent more time out in the chop as I wasn't as game to use as much of the flats but it was brilliant in the chop! Spunout once coming back across the channel but I was tired and not sailing very well. I'm surprised at the alpha as yesterday I felt I was doing some really good gybes but not today...I went for a nm but was underpowered and it chose one with a gybe in it. Getting quite good after lunch and could have changed down but I'd had enough by then.. I got some drone footage this am.. Thought I'd make it a bit more interesting for viewers by doing a big powered gybe wipeout in the chop.. I really enjoyed going for it in the chop with the FF.. Anyone who knows me knows if I have a delta type fin on I just putter upwind in chop and don't even try to plane or push it..Love the FF.. just wish we had a 16cm one that could hold a 7m....still that is expecting big things.. Michael, youngens , Geogio, Matt , Paul ( later) and a few others?
