Sailquik (29582km): Lake George, SA. The wind conditions were very much like yeaterday but a bit lighter at the start so Debbi and I decided to have a go on the Tandem. She was a bit rusty having not windsurfed for quite a few years, but she did really weel. It took a while before she was confident to hook in the the harness but from then on it was easy cruising. We even hit over 22 knots! ASfter the first two reaches we had a long reat and she decided it would be good to do another two. Off we went but a few hunde=red meters into the run we copped a srtonger gust and she was overpowered and fell in backwards. Unfortunately, she badly bruised her ribs hiting the boom so I sailed the beast back with Debbi just holding the frnt sail luffed. Many thanks to Spotty, Roh and Kempster for heling with carrying and loading the big Tandem. Gentlemen all! After that I had a short blast around on the slalom board. It seemed slightly windier than yesterday but I didnt persevere for long as I wated to get back to check on how Debbi was. Gemini Mk1 Tandem, 30cm Delta XT. 5.3m KA Killer and 6.3m KA Race. IS87, Atomic Ground Zero 22cm, 6.3mKAR. Mini Motion.

Spotty (8858km): LG, SA, Ka Race8.7, AtomicGndZero'24, Kinetic Centurian Formula(100w), another fun day on The Lake, around 30 out spread from top to bottom. Rigged the 8.7 closer to the deck and moved the mast foot right back, but something did not feel right as the wind increased a a couple of knots more from the day before. Battle on for a while getting fully lit across the wind pulling 31's before moving the track forward a bit and dropping the outhaul to the bottom eyelet to let the leech breath in the stiffer breeze. Hooked into some good bear offs thinking I would of given yesterdays peak a nudge, but it was not to be and thats how it goes on the lake with no smokin weed cigar victory given out with ease, instead you just seem to hit a wall no matter how much faster a run felt. The Atomic fin trucked upwind, check out the upwind tacking legs from Kevs to Cockies to 5Mile, nice finwork Mr Love. | ||||||||||||||||||
