Lake George, SA
The Golden Lake indeed, omfg today, was great.

94L 235x60 Isonic wooden carbon, 5.8m KA Koncept, 25cm Atomic Weed Weapon, data GW60 watch, nice numbers

12-17 knots, maybe 20 ~4pm, S, not particularly glassy, BUT fkn flat and so OMFG nice, especially When It All Works.

Tried out adjustable outhauls too, using the 5.8m rather than up speccing to 6.6m just for speed, to concentrate on getting jibes under control, as per pic!!!
Even a nice alpha here and there.
Sailed down to the bottom after jibing for a while Wet Station-Cockies area, very nice time, then off towards Packers / 5Mile speed run area for just a little while, a little under done, then skedaddled back to the top to check out the Islands / Spit area.
Between the island and the Old Met Station was pretty good, there was fast bits more towards the spit and the big island end but the weed and the fin did not mix, maybe a 20 kestrel rather than 25 weed weapon better, tchh.
Many thanks to Mark Jordan and SailQuick for help yesterday (and the Jordans for a nice meal out.) Fixed 2 broken batten tips of the Old 6.6 - #1 & #2 cam end, Again, and replace 1 grub screw, lost in the grass (ejit), and how to properly install the adjustable outhaul system with the right gear i.e., pulleys handles cords! It worked a treat today once correct cord lengths and knot stoppers figured out.

Went out on the Naish Hover Tuesday with twin 16cm wave fins- not work in the lazy wind, could have waited and returned with the hover or the Isonic 110, but but did some air shots of SQ the Jordans and Brett as they piled on some Ks in the light breeze.

Lake George. SA

Very light wind but very enjoyable day skimming across the glass. Laughing

I cought up with a few others and hopefully got some nice footage of them. Sorry, if you are too fast for me I cant catch up to flm you! LOL! Laughing

That is almost certainly the fastest I have managed to go on a 7m sail and big board, so I think I am starting to get more tuned into the big gear. Embarassed

One thing I found is that I need to use bigger fins on the new wider tailed slaloms to get them flying in top gear. Martins 22cm Atomic Nuclear Weedy was a revalation!

Andy was flying on his new 2018 KA 7m Race. He was definitly creeping away from me and it was great fun trying different things to see if I could get closer to keeping up with him. His 38 knots 2 was a great achievement in those conditions! Amazing! Cool

From what I could see (thats an 'in' joke! Undecided) everyone was having a ball. Laughing Mark and Maree, Brett, Dezza, Tony, Andy and Gill, and I think I saw Rick pass by as well.

2017 IS97, 2021 KA Race 7m, Atomic Nuclear 22cm weed Prototype. Mini Motion.
