Wellington Point, QLD, AU. Same gear as yesterday.

Prob got there a bit early. Was quite choppy and needed a bit more wind. Still a good powered up sail.

Day 3 of the South Easter. Today the wind was not as strong, and the holes in it were of longer duration, but still a good sail for the conditions. Cloudy conditions early in the day made it feel a bit cold. The early crew consisted of Tom on a foil, Glynn on a Ding, Steve Charles and Nick both on fins. The late crew consisted of myself, Mick Hayward (a salty old sailor of my vintage who emerged for the day), and Doc Martin. Wind fell off at 3pm and struggled to come back full strength. A day off to recover and then Northerlies on Saturday. FF90 / Aero 5.5m2 (a 1997 model) / 32 Talon Wellington Point, QLD, AU

We launched at 11.30 to take advantage of the southerly current with the falling tide. The 4 was the right size in the 20+ wind. The Naish Force 5 feels very different to the North Wave. Some great waves out there to ride, particularly the starboard tack rollercoasters out the back.

Boyne Island, QLD, AU | Holy F@#k,  out for a sunday cruise on the 106 & 7.4 then BANG absolutely nuking... First time ive been scared sailing in awhile,  grunted the teeth and managed to hold the big girl down for a couple runs.  Was almost impossible to gybe at the top of the river.  First time using a pointer in yonks (36) so took a bit of adjusting but by the end felt okay.  Had a few scares with board lifting as it was quite choppy... Windsurfing is the best sport ever, nothing comes close to that!!

You still hung on in the “nuked” conditions and returned home to tell the tale. Nice work again Jayden. Yeah Steve, too early on a high tide can be as choppy as all heck. Good effort all the same.
