Melville Beach, WA, AU

Now that was fun, arrived slightly late to the party and had to change a broken batten while it was honking on the river. On the second run my best result for Melville for 2 sec chuffed with that. Was more there early on as the tides where near the perfect level, bloody work got in the way in the morning but happy to snag a nice sesh even though quite short. Slowie was sending it when I left so more to come.

South Yunderup, WA, AU.   Quick blast on the way back from Albany.  Figured this was the closest launch point on the trip home.  Sailed with all me mates in the chop fest.     iSonic86, KAR5.2, FF22(18)

Sick sail, stoked to just crack the 40. Plenty of power but was choppy high tide.

Plenty of power at Coodsville, got down early for a lower tide but made no differance .Heaps of crew sending it and good to see scotty Sims smashing it. Was getting plenty of peak 40s but eventually cracked the 2s 40  on my last run. Powerd by the 5.4 SCR,47 M, 23 ws.

Pelican Point, WA, AU

Lumpy bumpy gusty sesh out of Peli.

It looked proper windy, and Seabreeze showed gusts over 30K, so I rigged the small kit...Hydro 85 + 550 + 5.0.

Got on the water around 4:30, and it was solid heading upwind.

Tacked up to Melville for some smooth, but the wind up there was holey AF.

Went for a few runs in and out, but it was pretty poxy, so after half an hour I headed back downwind, which was probably the most fun part of the sesh.

Not epic, but there were a few fun moments Smile

Melville

Frontal SW! Wanted to get there earlier with the better tide but one of those days where there was work committment I couldnt get out of. Had to settle for a bit before 3pm... Boz, Jay and Shane packing up while I was rigging, tide already racing in so decided on the pointer fin to battle the inevitably growing chop.

110 Radix, 7m, 34MK3. Some sick gusts coming through and fastest runs in the first 20 minutes or so before the shutdown started. Spewing I couldn't get there earlier. Bullets too short, too much chop where they were, or not strong enough to get over 40 today. Peaks were there... Very surprised (happy) with 5x10. On my fastest 10sec (38.4) the 2sec was only 38.7, and didn't even make my top 5! Crazy. Not fully gassed on that one, but it lasted longer than the other gusts and the water seemed a bit flatter. Darryl got his fastest run just behind me for a 39 on the dial! yeeehar.

Fun to get fully lit at times, just a bit of a "what could have been" if I'd been able to get there a few hours earlier with the lower tide. I was getting over everything with 34 no problems. Next time Cool

Well, 7 of the planets align Feb 23-29th, with the best alignment Feb 28/29.  Feb 29th at sunrise the moon should set and align with the 7 planets which is a 9 body alignment.   So according to Antman, its dawn patrol Feb 29th.  Lets see if BOM is any better.

Flex, good to know. I’ll be at prime sky viewing LG. Maybe I’ll bypass 30 and get 50 with that kind of celestial goodness. Congrats all on a ripper session there.

Yeah Slowie what could have been, really we had to be there at 10 it was on. Next time maybe, rekon you would have pulled out the speed board conditions were good enough for it. Melville is so underrated when wind and tide align.
