Sunny conditions today in the most part compared to yesterday, but the S/SE wind still had poor consistency. Best time was early around 11am, but alas didn’t touch the water until 1:30pm. Old mother brown island turtle was out past the Lead Markers, and narrowly dodged a baby one close in. Water is still reasonably warm and clear for May, with small clumps of brown weed about. Out with Nick, Ben C and Doc Martin on fins, joined later by Rolz and John Scott on Foils, and a couple of wing dings. Watching Rolz doing his gybes in the lumpy business shows his gracefulness. Got caught in one massive rain squall on an outboard run which almost turned into an outbound flight. A second squall not as full. Wind dropped out completely around 3:30pm and returned around 4:15pm, although limp.. Might try some different fin and sail combos next session. Good to get out! Tried my new fuselage for the foil... was supposed to make riding out the back easier... possibly was, but I felt it was harder to keep a consistent ride going. TBH was normally a day I'd fin but I wanted to test the fues. Will need to test more. Squals were wild, one hit whilst just about to head out so I just layed on my gear until it passed and then another out on the bay but was tamer than the first one, then wind totally died off and called it a day. Good to say hello to John, Shane, Ben, and Nick... plus 2 new wingfoilers I hadn't seen before but thats because I haven't been done much at all so far this year. Great to see Vando on his pushie! He's on the mend and that great to see!

Manly 117 Blast / 7.8 Moto / 34 AWW. Better wind sunshine then showers moved in around 2pm. Some good squalls before showers then no wind after.

Quick run. Squall came through and felt like unlimited power but couldn’t hold it over the chop. Love sailing in the storms. Started pelting down rain and rollers out the back turned super smooth. Coming home wind died and then puffed up enough to return to base. Fun day. 7.0, 99l, 36f Wellington Point, QLD, AU

Well done Rolz for going out on the windfoil on the east side in those seas.

Recently a fin sailor said to me that windfoiling is too boring for him, I am sure you were not thinking that out there today 😎
