Got down there around 2:30 and it looked reasonably fresh, so I rigged the H85 + 7.0 + 560.
Got on the water 3ish and I was way underdone. Persisted for an hour, but only flew a couple of times.
Went in and swapped out the foil for the 900 IQ set-up.
Instantly I was cooking with gas, trucking upwind to the causeway.
I was enjoying the sesh, but the breeze picked up and the 900 got too lifty. I overfoiled and had a crash, snapping my boom inhaul rope and putting a small tear in the sail.
Fished a spare bit of rope out of my vest and fixed the boom.
Made my way in after that, cos it was fading fast.
So, not a bad sesh. I wish I'd rigged the 7.8, instead of the 7.0, and I think the 560 would've been OK (and would've saved me a crash).
Nice to catch up with Hooksey, who was down for a slap.
