Ant and I travelled the southwest in search of sailable conditions. Started at Coods too off shore, went to Boombas road flooded and decided to rig at the bend before the floodway. Looked promising we rigged caught up with the local cattle farmer who informed us he was moving cattle and politey asked if we can park our cars just a little West from the gate as the cars might spook the cattle, we obliged but in that 5 minutes the wind swung off shore and was dodgey city so we derigged and headed to Herron. Alas Herron was chock full of water no beach totally under water. Wind was still NW at Herron and we both didn't think much of it as it was fickle and didn't want to get stuck in the middel. Off back to Coods, windy while rigging then it switched off. A bit of flapping the lips and finally the wind booted. Chop city but fun sending it. Ant on the bigger board was a bit of a handfull so he decidied to head into the unnamed place to calmer waters while I played on my loneswome in the turbulent waters.
Nearly went straight over one of the post near the Alpha makers the one closest to the shore, only 6 inches sticking out the water of the old mast, raised it up so it was a meter out of the water so we caould see it before getting impaled.
One massive white out happened, but we both decided to sit it out as it got to be chop city and not being able to see we thought better of it,
Great sailing with the Ant in some gnarly conditions.
