Got down to Foilville around 10, but it was unrelenting rain, so I sat in the car for an hour waiting for it to pass.
Eventually it was clear for a spell, and I rigged the H85 + 460 SLR wing. Ummed and ahhed between the 6.0 and the 7.0, and chose the 7.0 cos it was still a bit patchy.
Got on the water and had an OK sesh, but the gusts were pretty solid and I was overcooked on the 7.0.
Didn't fancy changing down in the rain, so I persevered, but by the end of the sesh I was in survival mode.
So, more hard work than anything else, but I'm glad I had a crack.
And the Dockers beat he Pies at the G, how effing good is that!!
I only managed to catch the last quarter, but what a cracker

Shortest sail ever and more distance in walking :)) was stoked to see a speed of over 42 on the one run in a fairly desent squall. Happy with speed of the day and talking it up with the boyz. Reality hit when kai informed me it was his last session speed and had not reset the watch :))) Felt good while it lasted :) Good to share the experiance with Kai,Boz AL and Lockwood. way underdone on the 47M,5.4 SCR,23 ws.

Tribal trio today: RADIX 128, 6.2m Apache, 33 sym speed.
rh mission with the boys. Suggested to ant and Kai they might want to use bigger gear since it was going to be super gusty. Trolleyed in with Nic, Alex, And and Kai for some unexploded ordinance and rusty submerged car madness. Wind was crazy gusty but good angle!
First run got a little bullet for a 40kt 2 sec but the gusts were few and far between. Getting going was hard work because it was so turbulent... full on for a split second then nothing. One squall came through which was perfect sailing upwind- barely made it to the top of the run... then went to go the fang and copped a lull right on the send... doh... wind filled in behind me. Did that twice! Best run was a bullet from nowhere sending it into the middle of the lake slingshot style.
vmax 41.8 so I'm pretty stoked with this on a 128L board... Also super happy the Sym speed felt good and super safe despite appearing very small for that size board. This setup is a keeper! Theres plenty more speed to get out of it for sure.
Change came through and the wind konked out. Fun adventure with the lads and a good pre-workout with trolley dragging.

Another mission to the lake, good company with Kai, Ant ((Mr 42😁) Al who had s nice wipeout, and Slowie. Was a bit of a workout on the arms, very swirly wind sometimes up high in the sail other times low down, good to see slowie on his first run hit 40. I think I got my 10000 steps in today it’s always a bit of a mission getting to the bank, still always a good adventure.

Short session down at Coods. Was hoping to get the CA out and crack a 40 but unfortunately I didn't time it too well. Arrived just as Tim was exiting the pond and was hoping it would stick around but dropped off as soon as I got into the sludge pit. As luck would have it and after a schlogg back to the launch spot on the CA 48 Speed board, I called it a day and as I was derigging the wind swung to the SW and came in with a vengeance. Choppy as hell so didn't bother going back out. The 40 will have to wait for another day! Nice to share a few jelly beans with you Ant!
