NeedSpeedStash (8674km): Lake George, SA, AU After thinking I didn't hit more than 34kts because I'm blind without my glasses and dirty fogged up ski goggles, it was a pleaseant surprise to see that I hit 36 for the firt time this year. I was so confused as to why I was not going faster than at boggy even though it felf like I was gong faster! Getting old - not much fun Anyway, am happy with those numbers as the conditions were hard and the 50kms felt more like a 100. Didn't do a single gybe as very choppy and rested at the end of each run! Plus was being ultra cautions as I was the only one on the lake and on the spit. The walkin was definitely easier from the spit than from Pelican point. Was on the Patrik 48 and 5.6P7 sail. Anyway, it was definitley worth the trip. I know everyne knows this, but what a great place LG is, especially when it gets a bit warmer, not just for sailing but just for camping and chilling out. ATM the best conditions, I reckon, will be when it's 15-20kts and you can have a chilled sail all day long!
