Boggy Lake 18-25 - EvoIV 6.4 / Patrik 100 / SL34

Another fun day @ Boggy with about 10 guys on the water.  I got there a bit earlier than my usual late afternoon dash as I had a work dinner to attend.

It looked like it was blowing 15-20 so I headed out on the 7.4.  It soon picked up so I headed back after 1 reach and rigged the 6.4/100 Patrik combo. It was pretty hectic getting upwind with gusty shifty winds creating huge confused chop but it settled into a more consistent direction and the chop became more orderly.

I jagged a few good runs up the top but couldn't gybe at all as I was having footstrap problems.  The patrik straps seem really grippy and I couldn't get out of them.  I will give the Dakine straps a go next session.

It was great to catch up with Dave, Carl and Keith again.  Everyone looked like they had a good workout!  I am hanging out for the lighter seabreezes to kick in!

Nice 2sec T :). Beware, the Dakine straps have different hole pattern to JP and Patrik, at least a few years ago and before. My newest board, JP, is 2021, and that's not compatible with Dakine. So just check. It sucks having mod new parts. I end up exchanging JP strap with the outer Dakine cover. That works ok. But I won't buy Dakine again.

Hi J, I have Dakine Primos on all my other boards and never had any problems...

It looks like they are $45 each these days! They used to be $30 not too long ago...
