Wow that cranked in way more than expected, rigged the six and first time on the water massively over powered, it cranked in a few more knots after we launched and we were a bit keen as the bank was only just out when we got there so was pretty rough.  Eventually flattened out quite nicely but the arms were done by then, still exciting sail and first time on the speed board in years! Attempted a few alphas but sail was getting blown out of my hands and a few times I had to chase my rig as it was getting blown away. 5.6 next time...

Out storm chasing with Chriso at Cox bank. Great little session handling 30-40 knots. Surprisingly choppy and hard to keep the power down. Great to test the metal. Havent been out in winds this huge since the cyclone. So close to the 35knot PB target. Hit a turtle and managed to fall off the board unharnessed but swear I was doing 20 knots beside my board skipping across the water. Prob should have sailed closer to the bank but sailing between the swell and lines of chop is good fun. Good challenge today. Wasnt sure if I would get a PB and glad I did- been 2-3 years since a 2sec PB

Seems I missed the consistent stuff... Southerlies are known to be gusty... had one run, lots of swimming and broken battern... put it down to a meh day for me... top stuff for the other guys! Well done! :)

Well congratulations Ben on the two PBs and to you too Chris for getting both yourself and Ben there and back again. Sounds like the two of you were almost blown off the planet, well at least that’s the way it sounded. I laughed all the way through reading both of your posts, I could just feel the thrill and terror at the same time. Now it will be interesting to see what the Captain posts tonight when he gets home, and the mystery man (Jayson) as well who appeared at Cox.. To the young men - Well done guys. It was no place for this old man 😁

Thanks fellas and thanks for your PB call Shane! Shame 100M isn’t on here too as we discussed as that’s not a bad distance to measure too
