Green Island, QLD, AU Wohoo-strongest wind Ive sailed in this year .44.38 on the dial !!(25-32 would be my estimate )
Not much time on the run today -fast moving incoming tide .
Began on the Evo 9 6.4 Iso 80 Tribal Speed Delta 16 .Managed 41.16 on this combo .Started again in low shin deep water & didnt touch once ..!!
Switched to the Jp Speed 50 Tribal SW 23 & E9 6.4 & had some great runs .
Super chopped up entry but fin was rock solid.
Had a few runs then with the Evo 6 5.8 -best was a 40.94 with this combo -then it simply got too rough .

Fun little arvo with Freddo at the local. By fun, we are talking about a butt clenching 20-25 kt breeze, straight off the beach into some rearing swell . Made for some interesting , possibly life defining decisions....like "its time to bail" !!!! This lasted for 30-40 mins and then settled down to a more fun 15-20 kts which settled the roughness out a touch and made for a lot nicer sailing. Busted my clew batten "again" which caused the other two cams to jump of the mast all the time which was causing some frustration, but persevereance was the call today so we just tried to tick along regardless of the cams being in or out.
Great to be out on the water. Hope the Port lads can find time between Lattes and waxes to get out.

Holloways with Billy....given the conditions Billy sailed very well and I think surprised himself hanging on in those conditions.
Wind was a little stronger than expected and rough...once I had the harness lines figured the session got a whole lot better.
I was surprised how many times I slid out/fin let go today....caused a few frangs but all good....nothing broken...ego will live on.

Big tide, and sea was rough..The boys where already out blasting when i got there, they both sailed well had a great session and went home shagged but happy..I pulled up a bit early it started gusting up to 25kts out the back and things started to look a bit ugly was maxed out on 97lt Iso and burnt out 7.3m North rig..Came in at sundown before shit started to break..Good work out..guess it was worth rigging up for..Cheers Ed..

Sailed with Andrew and ED this afternoon. At 2:00 pm was light and patchy, but in the expectation of the afternoon filling in, I riged a 6M Aerotech and used the Futura 90 with a 26 cm Trutle ws. turned out to be a good choice for the afternoon.

Proud of myself for sticking it out in the big pond today.. Ian came down from the hills to join me and my mate, Ed, managed to get a late leave pass to come and play as well. The wind built up into a very solid 20 knots. I rigged my Neil Pryde V8 7.2m and gradually added more and more downhaul during the next two and a half hours. In these conditions I would normally have bailed around the 30km mark but I challenged myself to go out a bit further and found that there were some pretty waves to play on. Rode my Atomiq120 - and my weed fin - it gives good grip and a smooth transition onto the plane. Can't seem to crack 20 knots but it sure feels fast enough to me. The sun was out and plenty of kites were out there as well. It looks like we might have some good sailing ahead this week - gotta love those school holidays... And then, off to Green Island to be safety boat for the championships. A big thanks to Ed's brother, Mark, for parking his boat there for the week. Welcome luxury accomodation. A big thanks to Ed, because I got tired near the end, lost control of the mast, and put a pretty big dent under the nose - the first in a long, long time.
