Wind strength simlar to yesterday, but direction was SSE, more chop to navigate with again... Still all good fun in mostly sun. Used the Jag 108, Severne 7.8 M4, Tribal 38 "Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"

dr cam (41295km):  5 categories  Green island FNQ in 15-20 knots ESE-East -Retreating tide. Likely to be the last sail of the year on the Island I suspect . No smooth water today but great colors & a good work out . Used the RRD X fire 108 Evo 13 7.4 & Tribal SW 33. Sea life everywhere-small sharks /wrasse/turtles /eagle rays /small baracuda . Trojan (8240km):  Mackay, QLD, AU Quick late morning run between other commitments. Marginal even for big gear but nice when powered up, Phil was working hard on the foil. Good training with major amounts of pumping. Formula 155, 8.5 Ezzy, 460 Tribal. | ||||||||||||||||||
Eddy (24056km):  2 categories Port Douglas, QLD, AU Was trying to get to green island for a sail today but it all ended badly,..But i managed to get a arvo session in with Rick and James in port..Wasn't sure what the wind was gunna do so rigged burnt out no cam7m on 120 Fox ..Had a good fun blast in a nice choppy sea.. The boys were on fire and we all had some good fun drags out wide in a nice stiff breeze..Wind freshened up in the second half 120 Fox was running sweet,but i decided to make the effort and go and get 105 Fox which was a sleep on the back of my ute and take it for a blast..Had a good session on it with 40cm free ride fin..Had a fast in coming tide so had to stay hard on the wind most of the time..Everyone went home shagged but happy after agreat fun session..Not sure what happened to my Alpha as i was doing fully powered up gybes all arvo.I did drop 2 gybes out in a choppy sea when the wind was changing direction a bit..Guess it was worth rigging up for. all good fun cheers Ed.. | ||||||||||||||||||
