Thanks guys
Want to thank Hamma for the trip down to Sandy, it's the first time i've sailed down there in some real wind(well at times) had the Blade 6.3 plugged into the AB+ 46 and was standing there watching a few of the boys getting a run down the strip, so i thought it was a good chance to get a feel for the AB seeing it was the first time i have ever used it.Went out and just couldn't get going too many holes at the top of the run, after abit of swimming a gust came through and lifted me up onto the plane but then my outhaul came off the clew pulley so back into the water to fix this up..i was thinking this was going to be one of those days when nothing goes right, fixed the outhaul and got onto another gust which popped me onto the plane the boom height felt spot on hooked in feet into the straps and i got onto a mother of a gust, the acceleration was unbelieveable, the board was rock solid and the sail was pulling like a train before i new it the i was nearing the end of the course and this is where i started shitting myself i just couldn't slow down! i sheeted out and it started going faster so i headed out further from the bank because i was worried about running into it and slowly manged to bleed some speed and when i reached a safe pace i bailed out which stops you instantly.
When i got back into shore i checked the Gt31's and saw 46.10knts on the display and was stoked, 44.86 10 sec, 42.91 500m, did another run on the speed board but it was hard work getting going so changed to the AB slalom board and did a 42.42knt run.
My goal was for a 40knt average and once i was confident i had achieved this just watched how the locals sailed the course, oh yeah that Slowmoat dude and the Spotted one arn't half bad
Great meeting the all the guys down there and hope to see you all again in the near future.
