Second Creek, Tumby Bay, SA, AU

Finally had a nice day and cracked 30kt only just but over 30 for a few runs.

OES Outlaw 105, NCX 7M, REFLEX 5.6, 22.5cm BP Delta, 29cm GS Weedy, 33 Select S07 with 18-25 and a bit extra in the gusts NNW.

It was a super low tide so with plenty of shallow water and tape weed on the Sth side and Western of the channel. So started off with a 7m NCX and the Delta. It all felt heavy but got it up to 26ish kts. Then changed to the weedy and was lining up for my first run and with a battle between booties, back footstrap and an ill timed gust the NCX died a very quick death.

Bring on the Reflex and a few good runs with the weedy which got me through the 30. And I figured if I stuck to the Nth side and didn't go to far west all would be good. A few runs and a couple of adjustments and I had a 0.3 improvement in speed.

Finally had a day where the wind was fairly consistent in this spot. Its a shame the run is only about 0.35 long. It would be good watch someone that knows what they are doing have a go.

Grats on dem PBs. Powered up sprints on flat water sounds fun, even if they're short...ideal gybing-practice conditions! Sealed

good one pete, i am trying to get to the 30knot, seems a long way off, but got some faster gear, maybe this summer, doing 27.3 at goowla wnw seems fast, but then i run out of wind and water.

Big grats on the PB's PK. That spot would be rare to line up the right wind direction so good going:-)Cool

Thanks fellas, finally got some nice consistent wind but anything from NNW around to SW with decent wind and there could be a couple of other runs that are fairly flat. But too shallow on this day.

Hey Trousers, i reckon my heart rate would have to come down a bit for the gybes. I tried a couple but ended up in the shallow tape weed beds. Even the weedy wouldn't let me out.

No worries Jacko give me a yell I think I am on leave that week.
