Got down at Vicky point after lunch wind was dying I should have gone in the morning as it was honking all morning.

Used CA 50 at 1st but then switched to my CA70 which helped for a while but wind died off more.

VP, wind was up & down, took the wrong board for the today's conditions. Plus my boom got damage, front clamp, so changed board and replace the boom. I lost a bit of time on the water to get some distance in, anyway still a nice a day sailing with the team.

VP, gusting to 18? I only measured 11 to 16 knots before I went out and rigged Daytona 6.6, Falcon 111 and Viper Select 35, which turned out to be too small with all the weed around at VP at the moment. Was going to do two hours each side of low tide in the flat water off the bank, but the wind was too easterly, when the gusts came through so the bank was usless. It was better earlier though with the other team mates getting respectable times then, but I need me beauty nap to function, so I am always late for the wind.

Sailed around to main beach (Yeppoon) from home. First 40 minutes of sail very overpowered 25+knots then rain front came through and killed wind to only 5-10knots for 40 minutes then never picked up again for 5.4VMG.  Impossible conditions for even short speed runs anywhere although I think if wind is more easterly then main beach offers better conditions than Lammermoor Beach.

Will try again tomorrow as SE look like they're here to stay.

Pretty crappy day. When out with the CA 50/RS 6.7 which was soon too small with the dying wind, going off the plane in the lulls. Heading back across Redland Bay smashed into a submerged rock. Pushed my fin straight through my CA, trashed the fin (of course) and torn the sail.

NOT HAPPYCry

PS. No its not a weed fin!!!!

Had a crack at the 1 hour challenge, got a good 45 minutes in and then I  spent 3-4 minutes wallowing out around Green Island when the wind dropped - included in the 1 hour time - Really choppy conditions with the swell running in 2 directions for part of the course.

Still sore from my collision with a dugong last Sunday. Had no real try for any speeds. Was sailing: F2 SX 2, Naish Stealth 6.0, c3 Venom 30.

Good times to Brad and Ian - not good conditions for  1 hour when I was sailing - way too much chop.

Great to sail with mate at who hasn't stepped foot on board for 3 years or more, talented bugger kept up too.

Wasn't the best day for it, Manly gusty I spent more time swimming than sailing.

Twas a day for experiments- chopped nose off old Caveman 270 now 243, seems to work ok smacked it into every steep bit of chop I could find and it didn't bury...will be good to have a board to use in 20knots of chop at wello.

Re-shaped 30cm fin, went well just need to iron out slight whistle above 30knots.

First use of North Ram 5.8, rigged it on rdm.  Seems to work well sail felt very nice and powerful.

Phil,

That is a real bummer.  Vando just pipped you for the 10sec average too.  Hope it can be repaired like new.

Good to see half the team got to sail though.

Sorry to see the damage Phil. That's a bit of a repair job...especially on such a new board. Seems like many hit things yesterday.

Hey Vando,

Just noticed you were only 60 metres short of the ton.  Great work (everyone)

Mineral,

Do you mean the infant in my seabreeze profile - that's our youngest of 3 boys.  All sailboarders (I hope).
