Got in the water at 7ish wind chill temp was 5 yes it dose get cold up here in westerlies sailed for 2 hrs feet & hands where numb couldnt sail properly wind was only about 15kts very up & down but least I got a sail after over a month drought of wind. Tried out my new board after over a month of no wind. New CA 58 very nice in the chop Loft 6.8 Venom 36
| Vando (60903km): early start hoping the wind would last, got down glynn already on the water nothing great maybe 15-17 knots. Just rigged the 6.8 and IS115 and 36 fin nice couple hrs on the water | ||||||||||||||||||
mikey (18113km): ![]() GT-31 locked up 5min into use yesterday and off being 'unlocked'. Used the Garmin. Big board, med sail, lotsa fun.
| Jemo (6491km): finally a bit of wind . Everyone was out at 7am I got there about 9 amnd it was still cold. Had to wear a wetsuit which is not why I moved to queensland. Remembered how to sail after about an hour. coming back after injury and swine flu is not easy (actually it was only a cold) leave the swine flu for sandy point. Great to be out. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Albert P. Jonsson (11746km): Wello in the afternoon, snug and warm in my semi-dry suit and winter boots. Wind was supposed to die out in the afternoon, so I went out on the Falcon 111 and rigged the Stealth 7.5 with the 40 cm fin (some mental block there) a.. Silver Select. And then the wind started blowing again. I was not only on the plane, but was struggling with the sail and thinking: I am going really fast, only to find 24 knots on the gps, when I looked at it. It is such a long time since I've gone sailing, that most of my sailing fitness was gone. Then it kicked in a bit more may be twenty knots and I was really struggling, because it was rough too on the western side. Phil you should have stayed an hour more, because you would have liked it and may be got your thirty knots, cause you can handle the rough stuff. I hope Jamee did not take his little girl out sailing in this cold! | ||||||||||||||||||
| phil (50450km): One of those days where your barely on the plane and keep sailing until the wind picks up. Unfortunately it never did Should of put on the 7.2! CA62, RS Racing 6.7 C3 36 | ||||||||||||||||||
