Sanctuary Point, 25knots S/SE

S-Type 104, Loft O2 5.9, 30cm Select

Well that was an epic 45 minutes, until my harness spreader bar snapped! Super steady 25 knots and huge bumps - like speed skiing through a mogul field! 2km off shore and BANG, by spreader bar snapped - it was a difficult run back.

Sandringham - crazy bumpy conditions SSE 20 - 28 knots, some strange things going on with the tide movements.

JP Xcite 110, NP Hellcat 5.7, mean lines 32 fin

Had the best walk of shame to date, went looking for Alpha Man as he had vanished under the brigde and when I went looking there was no way back as you can see from the tracks a walk back to the car.

St George Sailing Club SSE 20 - 28 Knots.

Drops Slalom SX 8'10"  Neil Pryde RS Racing 6.2  Tectonics F1 30.

Went out on my Naish Speed Pro 60 and NP RS6 5.4 first, wind was to much up and down , lucky to get back.

Speed strip wasnt to good not a low enough tide.

Very lumpy, had a big spin out down near the red channel mark and caught a rail, big splash, ouch !!!!!

Nice to see the Leyland Brothers down there today exploring the coastline.

And Boss Man,.....RIP Mike.

Reflections... (above) Laraine Leyland with a photo of Mal and Mike during their TV days, while Mal holds a flask containing water from the Pacific Ocean collected in 1966. The Leyland brothers had carried the flask across the Simpson dessert from the western most point of Australia to the eastern point.

bummer Mike!! Can't say I've ever seen that happen before. I gather you don't have a spare harness to use....Only 30k's for your distance must just feel like a warm up session for you too!

Bummer Mike. I am sure Alpaha man will fill in the details shortly. He was up near the bridge, stacked and then got to close to the pillons for comfort. Its  a mega bi#$h going up there under the bridge, will never look for some one under sail up there again.

Has alpha man drifted back to shore yet or is he still clinging to a pylon??? Tongue out

Well Rexy, it all started in that second wk down at Sandy Pt when I was logging my GPS tracks. Whilst executing this task and in company, I discovered (or more appropriately, it was pointed out to me,..... thanx Sausage!) that the alpha speeds I was logging were in fact the peak readings within the alpha runs, not the alpha itself. Boss Man and company, understandably, found this amusing and so the title was born! For whatever reason that wk, I also had 'Ride of the Valkyries'(I think it is) from 'Appocalypes Now' running through my head. I found it a motivating anthem when clocking my blistering fast speeds!........And so Alpha Man Da da da daaaa!.......was also born.Tongue out
