Sandy Point big day out with the Inverloch Windsurfing crew. Sailed my 5.3 Naish and had no problems. Did some massive walks back to the carpark though, have 6 oz sand still lodged in my left ear hole.

LOCATION:  THE PIT

WIND:  W- SW 15-20 KNOTS

SAILORS:  ASH, RICHY, SAV, MOONDO, B3, EJ and The Pit Crew

GEAR:  Jp Super Sport, 38 fin changed to 46 fin, KA Koyote 5.3

DETAILS:  Headed to Pit as part of IWCs event.  The wind was not quite right but still awesome.  Took ages to get used to the new board but got a few decent runs in after I changed to a bigger fin.  In retrospect I reckon I should have gone a bigger sail as I was Ok in the gusts but going off the plane in the lulls.  Makes a good reason to go back and correct my mistake!!!!

Congratulations on all the PBs guys!! Sorry I couldn't have been there yesterday. That speed run is quite addictive and can be detrimental to wallets!!

You gotta love the Tabou Rocket Sav, my favorite board and had a few good runs with the Saber too. Well done on the PBs guys.

JAK: Yep, I'll be sad when my sabers wear out, awesome sails.

Hopefully next time we go to Sandy Point there will be a bit more SW, I needed a lot more fin than 32 to get back upwind to the start of the course.

Great times boys.  Sorry I wasn't there to join in the fun.  Welcome Sav and great first post and you smashed your 31 kt goal.  Madventure great to see you getting new highs - 30 is your next goal

Thanks Doug, although I think speed prize of the day should go to Drift for managing to get his puncture repaired and get to Sandy Point before the rest of us had even started rigging.

Thanks for that Sav...yeah it was a bit weird, I changed the tyre and stood back with my arms in the air like they do on the V8 Supercars but the driver wouldn't leave the pitstop!

Seriously though, it was a bit of  freaky moment having the tyre blow out just as I was going through the Korumburra turnoff.  The car slid a bit, as did the trailer, so there may have been a bit of butt clenching going on!!!
